Adenanthos sericea

A large ornamental shrub with soft silver-grey foliage, compact habit and small red flowers that grows between one and five metres tall. The foliage can be used for cut flowers  and the small red flowers attract nectar eating birds. It is an ideal plant for screening, hedging and narrow spaces and can also be used as a windbreak or a feature plant. It is a great native alternative to a standard Christmas tree when grown in a pot.
