Hardenbergia violacea

A vigorous groundcover or climbing plant with branches that can trist around stems of other plants, drak glossy green leaves and purple pea-shaped flowers in winter and spring. This a popular and hardy plant that is adaptable to most soils. The flowers of this plant atre a souce of nectar and pollen for native insects including moths, butterflies, bees and wasps. Native birds also feed on the seed and the foliage is a refuge for lizards. An attractive plant in rockeries, embankments, under trees, in containers or effective fence cover.
