Small leaved Clematis

Clematis microphylla

A climbing plant that scrambles through trees and shrubs up to 4 metres with long narrow light green leaves and masses of creamy flowers and seadheads with fluffy white silvery beards. This is a dainty climber for fences and screened areas, however it will smother small plants in a garden bed. It provides nesting habitat for birds and attracts bees. This plant is known to have irritant properties, handling the leaves can cause skin irritation and inflammation for this reason do not plant where children can reach them.
