Carex appressa

A tufted sedge type plant with a flower spike on a triangular shaped stem from August to January. It is slow growing but suitable for soil stabilisation particularly in stream bans. It prefers wet sites and will tolerates its roots being in water. It is also good for raingardens and biofiltration systems.
