Dianella tasmanica

A clump forming plant with strappy dark green leaves that grows between 0.6 and 1.5 metres tall. Small clusters of lavender to violet flowers with yellow stamens on branching stems are produced in spring to summer, followed by large blue berries. This easy to grow plant requires little work and is drought and frost tolerant. It prefers semi shaded position in the garden, but will also grow in full shade and is good for mass planting under large trees.
