A loosely tufted sedge that grows to 0.4 metres with cream-brown flower spikes from September to April. This wetland sedge grows best in moist soils in semi-shade, though it will tolerated part shade, drought and waterlogging. It is fast growing and is typically used in mass plantings and around watercourses
