A small shrub with oval shaped greyish green leaves that are covered with short hairs on the underside that grows to 1.5 metres tall. White star shaped flowers occuring mainly in late autum and winter but will also flower throughout the year.  This plant can be used for contrast in the garden, as an informal hedge or as a feasture in borders. it prefers well-drained soils in full sun but will also grow in part shade and is tolerant of coastal conditions and once established will tolerate extended dry periods.
