Leptospermum lanigerum

A dense shrub to erect small tree that grows 2 - 6 metres tall with short, soft and hairy grey to green leaves. The shrub has masses of open shite flowers and woolly seed capsule from September to January. It grows in moist to wet conditions in full sun to partial shade. It is an excellent shrub for moist areas but also tolerates dryer garden conditions. It has attractive flowers and foliage and is a good screen plant that provides nectar for butterflies and attracts insect eating birds.
