In 2019, Warranbool Art Gallery is delighted to present Craftivism. Dissident Objects and Subversive Forms – a collaborative, playful and immersive Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) curated exhibition, touring nationally by NETS Victoria Warrnambool Art Gallery in partnership with National Exhibitions Touring Support (NETS) Victoria, ffeaturing craft-based materialities with a political intent, by contemporary Australian artists and artist collectives. As a part of the exhibition program, WAG will be delivering a special artist floor talk and discussion on the use of craft material and techniques as vehicles for activism and social change, including a local perspetive. Further details of this program will be annouced in late February 2019. Free, no bookings required. Light refreshments provided. Hearing loop and wheelchair accessible. Suitable for all ages.
